 Mineral formation is an extremely slow process. Hence, rate of consumption should

not overshoot the rate of replenishment.

 Only one percent of the total mineral deposits are accessible.

Conserving any resource and reducing waste always makes sense. As responsible stewards of our planet we want to leave this world a better place than when we came.

A:Natural Resources should be conserved because in the future we will be needing resources such as oil and petrol for many purposes and instead of using fossil fuels for producing energy and polluting environment some green approaches for producing electricity such as solar power, wind power and recycling waste to produce it can preserve natural resources and our environment.

The trick is determining how to conserve these resources. Some "green" approaches really do not save any resources and only feel good. Wind power generation is one great example. They feel good, but produce very little usable power.

Hybrid cars are another good example. No detectable resource savings, but strong in the feel good department.

Turning off your air conditioner. Turning off unused appliances. Taking a bike to the store. These actually save power and resources. Real action takes effort.

A:

There are cases where resources can be used freely but in most of the cases, we really need to conserve our resources. See, if we cut down all the trees, which some people keep doing, we are all going to suffer. Cutting down our trees (which absorb carbon dioxide) contributes to the greenhouse effect and all the air pollution is causing all this heat, and with all this heat the ice would melt in the North and South pole and eventually, we're probably going to die if this does not stop.

A:You should always conserve natural resources because they are dying out. If all our natural resources died, where would we be? We cannot live without them so conserving them is a necessity. Think of all the ways we use natural resources. There are everyday things like: pencils, desks, tables, baskets, food, and such -- all of those things were made from natural resources. So now do you see why you should conserve natural resources.

Natural resources are all limited, therefore the more we use them the lower their reserve which in turn causes prices to go up. Another good reason for the conservation of natural resources is that the energy and pollution involved in extracting natural resources is far more expensive and environmentally harmful then a well organised recycling regime that is adhered to worldwide.

A:

It is very important to preserve natural resources because when they run out civilization will turn to ruin. For example products that are used for medicine will run out in less that 10 years, what will you do when they do? People will die because they cannot find the medication they need because the product used to make them ran out.

We know that Earth is covered with natural resources. But we use these without any thought. That is not a good news for us, because the environment of earth is filled with living things, and the living and non living components affect each other (Theory of resonant Ecosystem Ecology).

Natural resources give us our habitat, energy and everything which we need and want to live. They are also home to wildlife and a part of Earth ecology. So we need to be responsible and conserve our natural resources.

_________

Also, some of our natural energy resources, like oil, coal and gas are running low; we are heading for an energy watershed. And while we are using them up we are dumping huge amounts of carbon into the atmosphere that have been bound up and safe from release for many millions of years.

Mineral resources are neither renewable nor replenishable. With the rapid advancement of industries, the use of the metals has greatly increased. So it is feared that the deposits of metals like copper will be fully exhausted on the earth within thirty to forty years. Similar is the case with organic minerals liken the coal and mineral oil or petroleum. The known deposits of mineral oil are supposed to last another two or three decades, if the present rate of consumption goes on. Similarly, the high quality coal deposits are also depleting at an alarming rate. The scientists have been warning us to stop the indiscriminate wastage of our mineral resources and to conserve the rapidly depleting mineral wealth.

Are there any efforts to conserve diamonds?

There's no indication that diamonds are in need of conservation. Being the hardest natural mineral, diamond mineral resources are typically re-purposed or reused, making conservation unnecessary.

What are the things that you need to conserve?

We need to conserve all natural resources like water, coal, petrol, electricity, air. All these resources because of wastage and unauthorised use are in scarcity as on date. It will be difficult for coming generations if we do not stop wastages and preserve these resouces.
