When waking up the next morning after having dinner the previous night you may be hungry because over night eventhough you are sleeping and not moving you still burn calories and it uses up lots of energy to do so, and because your body always needs energy it will need more food to burn more calories so you wake up hungry. The hunger is a signal like your body saying 'I need more food and energy for the day' and thus you are hungry. I hope that makes sense.

No! If the baby is sleeping through a feeding it wouldn't make sense to wake them up. Eventually they will be settling down to a more normal routine including sleeping through the night. Babies will certainly let you know if they are hungry.
