What could it mean if your ear canal is often itchy?

There could be several reasons why your ears (ear canals) itch.

They might have too much ear wax in them or not enough ear wax in them.

You might have Allergies.

You might have a fungal infection. You might have "swimmer's ear". Wearing ear plugs or hearing aids can cause itching in the ear canal.

If you have a skin condition, it may also be affecting your ears. Your ears might also be sensitive to shampoo and hair spray.

There could be an insect in your ear.

There could be a foreign object or even a pimple in your ear.

You probably havethe condition of eczema of the ear canal. It is usually an allergic reactionof environmental cause. It is more prevalent in the spring with tree and grass pollens very active. It can cause pain in the ears, itchy feeling, swollen glands. It usually subsides when these allergens cease from 2 to 6 weeks.

This is a common symptom of bowel cancer. When a tumor starts to grow in ones bowels, the body trys to fight it off by sending increased adrenal hormones to the area. This has a feedback effect on the right side of the brain (which is responisble for hormonal release and uptake), causing an increase in mono-protonated oxidase inhibitors in this half of the brain. This, in turn, irritates the auditory nerve on the right side of your head, causing your right ear to itch. I would immediately see a doctor if I were you.

It means your ears r itching! No really just take a q-tip to them! U may just have too much ear wax n there or maybe it's loosing up&needs to b flushed(washed)out. Good luck!
