Thats what they are supposed to do if there is something wrong with the circuit (generally a short) or the device that is attached.
why does my turn signal light keep burning out and why is the sockets and plastic lens melted.
not usually!!if fuse is blowing out check for short!!
"Main sockets" is referring to fuse sockets, particularly the main fuse sockets for a fuse panel.
Find out why the fuse is blowing. You have a short or the circuit is overloaded.
Dead short in light wires or sockets remove each bulb and socket and replace bulbs one at a time until fuse blows and check wiring to each socket.
Obviously, if any fuse keeps blowing there is a serious fault in that circuit.Take it somewhere they can fix it.
Dead short to ground in one of the brake light sockets or wiring to them. Remove bulbs and check socket for corrosion or breakage and check for a bad wire to sockets
It is very common for the starter to be the cause of that fuse blowing.
Possibly, but it is more likely that one of the bulb sockets is or has been wet, or that one of the wires is shorting to the vehicle chassis.
Wrong amp of fuse
A short.
Should be the same circuit as parking/tailights Check all sockets for short to ground or overload Remove all bulbs and replace one at a time until fuse blows that will give an sidea where to further investigate
