Could be bad gas. I would also check your diverter valve ($35 part at the dealership, Google search for instructions), it is commonly blown out after 40K miles. The basic problem is that it blows out and leaks boost back into the airbox. The part was updated later and that is what the dealer will have. Generally if it is leaking you will only have 2 pounds of boost instead of the normal 8 pounds, at 7hp per pound you could be down over 25hp from stock.
The dealership will try to sell you a fuel injection service that you probably don't need.
hi it sounds like your universail joints or tail shaft
A car accelerates from to at a rate of How far does it travel while accelerating
Fuel injectors I'd assume. I have a fuel injector stuck open on my car and sometimes it stalls while accelerating. Check it out, maybe. These '93's have 100000 problems..
A loss of power on a Toyota Celica GT while accelerating can be a number of things. The timing might be off. The coil pack might be allowing for a misfire. There might also be a bad Oxygen sensor or bad distributor.
If no codes (check engine light) or rpm fluctation first check fuel pressure
The most common cause for a lack of power whilst accelerating is a clogged exhaust system or lack of sufficient fuel being delivered to the engine. Check your catalytic converter if your vehicle has one, and then change your fuel filter and go from there.
AnswerIf you are having problems with power while shifting and accelerating have your fuel censor looked at. You may need egr valve checked .You may need intake decarbonized .You may need mass air flow sensor .
Your Volkswagen Cabrio might lack power and feel restricted while accelerating because it has a clogged fuel filter or clogged air filter. It might also lack power because there is water in the fuel.
could be two things. if it does it while idling or accelerating, then its probably a spark plug not firing. if it only does it while accelerating or under load. then its probably a spark plug wire. either way, as general maintenance its a good idea to replace all the wires and plugs. Clogged catalitic converter will cause it to lose power.
I have driven a 2004 passat wagon that apon acceleration the car jolted and vibrated. Turns out the problem was the engine had a rod knocking and pretty much a bad engine, this could have been caused by a water pump or a oil pump not working. I would have a mechanic check it out right away.
the reason an engine "jerks" is because all of the fuel going into the cylinders are is not completely burning thus causing a loss of power...
Drive shaft is going out
