Why does Hollywood refuse to show close up shots of the bare feet of most women actors in photographs and movies?

I once read someone noticed Ava gardner was flat footed (some movie - she posed in a similar pose of the Naked Maja) . It won't do for a sexy woman to have feet that look like "real feet." hackberry flat Probably the same reason they don't should close-ups of bare breasts: for all the talk of Hollywood liberalism and reputed sex in the movies, Hollywood, at least the non-porn industry is a very conservative place. Actresses will to a degree flaunt sexuality insofar as teasing, but rarely "deliver the goods." Also bare feet, particularly for women, can be seen as being less than rich or invulnerable. Hollywood women would rather show off some stupidly expensive high heels. The producers of these films also know that there are foot fetishists out there, and might have actresses tease them, but not to conflict with there concerns as stated above.
