It depends on the animal. Guinea pigs, which I'm going to assume are the animals you're talking about considering that's the category we're in, are native to South America, and they are most comfortable in the mid to upper 60s (Fahrenheit). They are also prey animals, and wild animals such as coyotes, wolves, wild cats, hawks, and owls. Leaving them outside in cold or hot weather is extremely cruel as they are fairly helpless little animals, and they are vulnerable to predators when in an open area.
