This happens because Toronto is situated on a lake (Lake Ontario), where Ottawa is not. So in the summer time, the warm weather and hot temperature heats up the lake. It takes an awful long time for a massive body of water to completely change temperatures so Once winter hits, the temperature outsdie drops but the water is still warm from the summer, and therefore heat will rise out of the water and be blown around the surrounding area, like Toronto. But since Ottawa isn't near any massive bodies of water, just a tiny river, the temperature of Ottawa will iether be extremely cold, or extremely hot, depending on the temperature. And believe me when i say it gets cold! I live here :P

Who was the first president born in the south?

The answer depends on how you define South. George Washington was from Virginia which was the capital of the Confederacy and a slave state and is often thought of as being in the South even though geographically it might be classified as a middle Atlantic state. Andrew Jackson was born in North or South Carolina and lived in Tennessee which is farther south than Virginia. Eisenhower was born in Texas which is farther South yet but is also farther west and may be thought as a western state. Jimmy Carter was born in Georgia which is surely in the South.

Back around the turn of the millennium, there were about a hundred or more moose on the streets of Toronto. Toronto's former mayor, Mel Lastman, was responsible for them. Maybe he thought they would attract tourists. There are now only a few moose left on the streets of Toronto.
