Answer
The door may not be straight in the rails, and could be binding during its travel. Any resistance will cause the motor to stop to avoid injury, which can require returning the door to the beginning position before retrying operating it. Check to make sure that the door is moving smoothly in the tracks, and is not cocked or crooked. If the door has an electric eye, make sure that the sensor and the light are both clean in the lens areas.
