Why does a car make a grinding noise when turning left?

Answer:

I doubt that this problem would be exclusively limited by steering to the left. Grinding noises sounds like you may have a power steering pump that is faulty. Check your power steering resivoir for proper fluid level. If you don't know where this is it's kind of hard to explain because there are other things that look similar to it in that part under the hood. This link to a picture of it below might help you. Hope that I could be of help to you. Also you might want to get it looked at by a professional at a car repair shop after you've done all of this stuff.
