An adult might wet the bed if they needed to pee but couldn't wake up to do so. Sometimes that person is simply too tired and was in a certain stage of sleep.. Other reasons might be if they have a urine or bladder infection or even some neurological disorder. If it Is a repetitive occurrence they should seek their physician for more answers to why they are wetting the bed.
It's just a normal thing. It just happens because some kids don't take a bathroom break in the night before they sleep, and sometimes because they drink too much water before sleeping without a bathroom break. It's important a kid takes a bathroom break before they sleep, so they don't pee. This rarely happens: When a kid is having a dream about taking a pee, they pee in bed. That happens to me sometimes, but rarely. Just remember, a kid has to take a bathroom break before sleeping.
If you pee your bed at night then you mey have bladder problems... you should consult a doctor about this.
Drinking reduces the receptor that tells you to wake up and go to the bathroom.
maybe you can first try to pee in diapers first on the bed. Do this until you can always pee immediately and naturally when lying on the bed. Make it a habit and you will pee the bed when you take off the diapers. (think twice as it may not be easy to go back)

Usually you do this so you dont pee in the bed. Yet it can be more comfortable than holding it all night. You most likely would pee before you go to bed so that you dont wet the bed. Also it may be more comfortable for you than to hold it all night.
