It differs because your heart has to work harder when standing. the blood that reaches your legs has to travel back up through veins in your legs as gravity tries to pull it down. More blood pressure means there wont be as much flow back(veins don't have a lot of blood pressure to begin with). also to prevent back flow there are valves in your veins that close after each pass of blood. Another reason why is because while standing muscles are contracted and using ATP which leads to a need for more blood supply to ensure those muscles continue to contract. When you are in reclining position your muscles are relaxed and your cells aren't using as much ATP.

Your resting and standing heart rate are different because standing requires use of extra muscles and more blood must be pumped to the body. Sitting down let's your legs and other organs rest, causing your heart rate to drop.

Why are the two valves on the left side of the heart where there is high pressure?

It depends on the viewpoint of the observer ! Looking at the heart as if you're standing in front of the patient - the left ventricle and left atrium are on the right of the heart. If you're looking at the heart as if you're standing behind the patient - the chambers are correctly placed.

How does altituded affect air pressure?

Air has weight, and weight means pressure. The higher up you go, the less air left above to press down --and so, less pressureAir Pressure decreases with the rise of altitude and increases when lowered. Example: You would not be able to breathe as well high in the air as you would standing on the ground. At higher altitude, air pressure decreases. Eventually the air runs out entirely at about 200 miles altitude, at which point you are in outer space with zero air pressure.Air pressure drops at higher altitudes. This makes water boil at a lower temperature, causing difficulties in cooking and makes it harder for people to get their breath. This is also why commercial airplanes are pressurized inside.Air pressure declines with altitude (becoming effectively zero at about 200 miles in altitiude). That is because air pressure is the result of the weight of the air, and the higher you go, the less air you have above you to press downward and cause air pressure. As altitude increase air pressure decrease.Air pressure is a result of the total weight of the all the air (or column of air) from above as well as the sideways pressure from the weight pressing down on the air around the current position. As the altitude increases, their is less air pressing down from above (and from above the surrounding area) so the air pressure decreases as the altitude increases.

What is a talent in measurement?

In my opinion talent in measurement is the happiness you bring to people when you share that talent. The more happiness you bring to people the more talented you are. Like if you get a standing ovation if you're a singer, or if you get people laughing if you're a comedian, or if you dazzle people if you are a magician. That in my opinion is how talent is measured! :)

Where in systemic circulation is Blood Pressure highest?

What position is blood pressure normally the highest and lowest? If a person was sitting, reclining, or standing, which position would cause the blood pressure to be highest and lowest? Also, if there was an increase in blood viscosity, cardiac ouput, and diameter of the arterioles would this constitute to an increase in blood pressure as well?blood pressure (BP) is usuall lowest standing position and highest in supine (reclining) position. This is because the blood return to the heart is decreased when standing.http://www.bloodpressureinc.com/what-position-is-blood-pressure-normally-the-highest-and-lowest/Exercise is at its highest when we exercise and lowest when we sleep.

Why is blood pressure low when in reclining position?

Your blood pressure is higher when your heart is hard at work, pumping blood while your body is moving, keeping balance, etc. (when you're awake and standing.) And when you are reclining, your heart is at rest and doesn't need to work as hard to pump blood through out the body.
