It could be two different things from my knowledge (and personal experience). First I might suggest you suffer from Irritable bowel syndrome, which can cause that, and second could be H.Pylori, the bacteria that can cause ulcers.
- or you have GERD, or maybe even Barretts Esophagous. I never had GERD...but sadly i have Barretts..:-\...sad as it maybe...i'll help you along the way being a nurse and all..
Just ask a doctor to run a HPylori blood test on you..it's simple and painless...much better than going through all the upper GI series, catscans, medications. If it's HPylori, all you need is a course of anti-biotics and it's gone! I've had HPylori, (very painful..and it only gets worse)..there are many theories about how you get it..doesn't really matter in the long run..you just want it gone. Keep in mind that even after you are treated for HPylori, it may take weeks or a month to get your stomach enzymes working normally again..but it will improve after anti-biotics. There are specific anti-biotics you have to take for this ailment..don't try to take other anti-biotics you may have at home, it won't work. If you're into natural health instead of anti-biotics you could visit a health store and ask for suggestions. I would think colloidal silver would be effective. Have also heard something called mastic gum works. Even after anti-biotics, don't assume you've gotten rid of the H Pylori just because the pain is gone..it's a tough bacteria to kill, get one more blood test to be sure.
Here's some info on H Pylori:
"Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a type of bacteria. Researchers believe that H. pylori is responsible for the majority of peptic ulcers.
H. pylori infection is common in the United States. About 20 percent of people under 40 years old and half of those over 60 years have it. Most infected people, however, do not develop ulcers. Why H. pylori does not cause ulcers in every infected person is not known. Most likely, infection depends on characteristics of the infected person, the type of H. pylori, and other factors yet to be discovered.
Researchers are not certain how people contract H. pylori, but they think it may be through food or water.
Researchers have found H. pylori in the saliva of some infected people, so the bacteria may also spread through mouth-to-mouth contact such as kissing."

If you think that you can eat a magic food that will help relieve arthritis, you would be mistaken. There are not a lot of foods that you can eat that will help with the condition. You can eat cherries and blueberries when you have aches. These foods have antioxidants in them that ease the pain in the joints. You should not eat cherries and blueberries every day because they can irritate the stomach, but you can eat them once or twice a week.
