Alcohol
I was always led to believe it is an ester called Amyl Acetate (old name) or Pentyl Ethanoate (new name) with chemical formula CH3COO[CH2]4CH3.
nail polish is made from several chemicals, mainly ethyl acetate, formaldehyde and toluene, all which have odors.
Most nail polishes are made of nitrocellulose dissolved in a solvent (e.g. butyl acetate or ethyl acetate) and this is what helps cause the pungent odour.
Because of all the chemicals in Nail Polish.
it smells like bleach and mercury mixed up together.
It probably because of the chemical in there or something. not sure but ,hey, nail polish remover is worse. WAY............. 2 me at least.
no
No, because it is flammable. also it might stain and ruin and leave a bad smell on your clothes
Yes!! Don't do it
. It usually burns when on skin. Makes a bad Oder after used. Do not use on face. It has a smell for a while after spilt on wood!
Not all Nail Polish Remover is bad for your fingers or hands. Theres different kinds such as "strengthening or nourishing" Plus much, much, more. After you're done soaking your nails or hands in Nail Polish Remover be sure to put some lotion on your hands and fingers so your hands won't get dried out. :)
The answer is yes. The smell has numerous amounts of chemicals which can harm your brain... There are some nail polish companies like "Acquarella" that don't have a scent though there could be a smell that we can not detect that is not as bad for us as other nail polish smells...
Yes it can because nail polish remover is bad for your nails and if you peel it of you feel off the protective nail fibres also dark colour like red and black can turn your nails yellow so you should use a clear nail polish underneath or avoid wearing them. Also nail strenghteners and protective nail polish remover can stop your nails being ruined. Hope I helped!
It can weaken your nails if not used with a base coat and removed with a good nail polish remover. To strengthen them try Sally Hansen diamond strength, it works wonders.
Try cleaning them with a paper towel or tissue. If the residue does not come off, you can try cold cream. The next step would be rubbing alcohol, or more extremely, nail polish remover or lighter fluid.(Any of these three could be bad for plastic lenses or frames!)
Someone can have a bad reaction to nail polish. Those with sensitive skin can experience a negative reaction that can affect the nail bed as well as the surrounding area.
It's possible depending on how bad the smudge is. You can try using nail polish remover to blend in the smudge with the reguler polish then use a clear coat over and over again until the smudge goes away.
