Ns love to revisit all sources of "supply." Tell him you will get a restraining order if he doesn't leave you alone...
block all emails & IMs, tell your best friend to hang up on him, do not listen to or answer his calls, return all mail opened "return to sender." If he continues -- get a No CONTACT order from police.
"No" is not a word all Ns understand. There's no nice way to cut them off. Just do it.
Ok I have a question. When you say Ns love revisting all sources of supply. Are you defining supply as anyone the N has had a relationship with? Because I told my n angrily we all know how angry they can make us. That I hated her guts and never wanted to speak to her again. I knew she cheated on me. Her only reply was leave me alone. Which I have. Haven't heard from her in a month. Is it safe to say shes gone or might she try to contact me again at some point. I think it bothers her for people to think badly of her because i didn't know she cheated on me till a few weeks after we broke up and I talked to her before that and she said to me, you know I'm a good person. But I didn't comment on that then I found out she cheated.
