You've discovered one of the great joys of pet ownership. From what I've observed, I think it's for a couple of reasons. First, they want to be near you and protect you and secondly, they're curious to know what you're doing.
I've had two yellow labs and each one followed me everywhere I went. You'll get used to it. I'd just accept it and enjoy the company.
I love my Dog and I wanted her. I DO NOT WANT TO GIVE HER AWAY!! HOWEVER I also do not want her to follow me EVERYWHERE. It gets annoying! You do not get used to it! its been 9 years now. I have to go to the bathroom she is right there with her nose where it does not need to be,(TMI? deal with it!) When I am laying on the couch and move my leg she jumps up from a dead sleep ready to move when I move. She is old and her joints hurt her yet she INSISTS on going up and down the stairs every time I do. I will be back down in two mins, but she never seems to realize that. Again I love her but really don't need her up my butt 24/7. If I tell her to stay she looks at me like she is in trouble and then she pouts.I give her plenty of exercise for her AGE and attention but ITS NEVER ENOUGH. =(

A monastic house is a residence where members of a religious order, such as monks or nuns, live a communal life dedicated to prayer, work, and contemplation. These houses are often organized around a specific religious tradition and follow a prescribed rule of life.
The head of the house in ancient Rome was the "paterfamilia". He was the eldest male in the family. Even though he consulted with other members of his family, the final decision on family matters rested with him.
