This one is easy and you can do it yourself. Just remove the elbow "trap" pipe and clean it...It's amazing how things can get gunked up in there. I just did this myself and it took less than 20 minutes. Good luck.
The sink drain line is partially plugged.
If you have a garbage disposal, the dishwasher empties into that. The disposal either needs cleaning to open the small drain holes or they have become rusted and don't have enough capacity for the washer. There is an extension available that could be put on the other side of the sink and the dishwasher attached there so that it drained directly into the drain. It is an 1 1/2 inch diameter tube about 4 inches long with an angled off shoot 1/2 inch diameter.
Part of the drain pipe is clogged. Take it apart and clear it, otherwise it will only get worse.
Absolutely. Every built-in dishwasher can heat water to a higher temperature than what dispenses from your kitchen sink.
Dishwasher line is hot water. Tie ice maker into 1/2 inch cold line going to kitchen sink.
ummm.... you wash them in a sink? yes and a dishwasher
check that valves are fully open
Probably not, depends on where the clog is at and how the dishwasher drain is connected. I wouldn't chance it, but the worst that will happen is the sink will fill with the water from the dishwasher.
2-3 usually. 1 each for hot and cold water and possibly a third for hot water going to dishwasher.
A fitting made specifically for dishwasher that goes in drain line under kitchen sink.
Upgrade your cycle. Use both cups in dispenser and fill with detergent. Use fresh detergent. Dishwashing detergent powder does not have a long shelf live. Pour detergent in a zip lock bag to store.
With the water main shut of valve of course
The disposal is clogged or that side of the sink is.
Nothing, it should all come with the dishwasher. It fills from the faucet.
Your dishwasher may have a leak. Look under it with a flashlight just after it's finished a wash.
