A geostationary orbit will keep the satellite in one area relative to the surface
A satellite needs fuel to keep moving because when it's in space there is no air resistance and the gravitational pull and friction won't effect it.

The satellite is actually trying to fall away from the Earth, but gravity keeps it nearby. Also, the satellites have small rocket motors to keep adjusting it's position to keep it in the same spot.

The President, because he "controlls" the whole country.
Satellite radio's are much more efficient than normal radios. Regular radios transmit a frequency to a local radio tower, whereas a satellite radio transmits to a satellite. There it is able to produce a further reach and keep you from nasty static.
Satellites do not need fuel to keep moving because of their inertia and the centripetal force.
