yes the light only comes on when im ganing speed, when i brake the light gos out the car is a vauxhall corsa 1.2 sxi (1998 s-reg) pls help asap cheers matt
- This could possibly be an EGR valve problem,if it is sticking open,you may not notice it at slow speed,but when accellerating,it causes a power loss due to too much exhaust gas going in.Diagnostic check will probably reveal the logged fault in the ECU.

Because there is a fault somewhere in the fuel injection system.
That is all the light means: "a fault has been detected".
As for the guesses above, they are all potentially correct, and also all potentially incorrect.
In order to get to the bottom of it you need to take the car to a dealer (or 3rd party) who can plug into the cars injection system, and in effect "ask the fuel injection system WHY it has put the light on".
