the sun does certainly wreck ink, as does swimming in water containing chlorine, sunbeds are a no no too, white coloured creams make ur black tattoos go a rather yukky shade of bluey green too, and picking would also give the patchy look, so no picking!
Answersometimes your skin just doesnt take the ink as well ask other peoples. but if the tattoo is fresh, u might just need some touch up ink. make it look good. AnswerYes. if it keeps going downhill, go back a get a touchup, use the a&d ointment as much as directed and keep that thing way out of the sun. Put women's facial cream on it to hide it completely. The sun absolutely destroys ink. AnswerIf it is new, you need to make sure you don't expose it to too much sun without protection. Sun can fade the ink without proper care. Also make sure to use A&D Ointment and follow any instructions given by your artist. And since it is fading, it may be best to check with your artist about a touch up once the tattoo heals up enough to touch up the color.A tattoo always fades after it is drawn in. The pigments are injected into the skin. The body considers them invading bodies. The body then works to get rid of them, reducing the density of the pigments.
The losing of colour comes down to how you took care of it after it was done.
A number of things you need to do to keep it healthy and well as follows:
Use Bepanthen or other light antiseptic creams which won't leave a greasy layer to stick to clothing and will promote healing.
Paw Paw ointment is also good.
Wrap it afterward in cling film so it doesnt stick to clothing.
Dont pick at the scab.
Dont itch. If you have to do something, slap it to help with the need to itch.
Dont swim in the ocean.
After getting your tatt, go straight home and into a warm shower and give it a decent rub with your hands to wash plasma, blood and excess ink off the area. You can use a soap free, fragrance free, pH balanced body wash if you wish. Dry off with clean well and apply a non oily antiseptic cream, the Bepanthan First Aid cream works a treat. Repeat at least twice daily until the area mostly heals, then after the majority of the scab has gone a moisturiser can be used.
If the area can be covered while sleeping (ie with a shirt or pants) do so, if not make sure you have clean sheets.
One of a few possible things. One; the artist did not go as deep as he or she should have, and as a result, a good deal of the ink fell out during the healing and you will simply need it touched up. Two; you took bad after care of it, exposed it to chlorine or possibly sun bleached it which will make the colors fade much, much quicker than it would normally. Three; if you were well tanned before, this does play a part in the tattoos overall vibrancy. Or four; it could be a combination of some of the three. Check with your artist and get it hit again. Go from there.
because of bad tattoo material and care
yes, for sure.
If you gain muscle mass then it will stretch it. But if you gain a lot of muscle mass then it will stretch it and make it fade color. Depending on how much muscle mass you gain will depend on how much it stretches and fades. the tattoo should stretch to fit with your new size. however using steroids will cause the tattoo to stretch too far in one direction or another, thus permanently disfiguring it. whether it will fade i dont know. but the tattoo will resize with you skin (Assuming natural muscle growth).
yes it will fade. your skin complection results in how much. your tattoo will gradually fade your whole life. but the bright colour that is in it from when its just done should die down in about 2months
the sun fades it, so does tanning bed and clorine water. also if you dont take care of it, you have to treat it as an open wound.
No, Nair hair removal cream will not affect the rate that a tattoo will fade.
Sunshine

uuummm....it's a tattoo. yes. (not necessarily) a tattoo that doesn't have the highest quality of ink can fade and as you age tattoos fade its just the way your skin is.
yes, for sure.
"Tattoo removal creams can only do so much, the most they can do is fade the tattoo to make it less visible. If you are looking for a permanent tattoo removal then contact your dermatologist."I'd say no. It'd probably just fade the tattoo at the most.
you ask a tattoo artist and sometimes they fade away
Tatoos are meant to be permanent, so generally speaking, no. However, they have been known to fade and in some cases fade to nothing. Many factors are cited, so there is no single accepted cause.
