Which war? WW1? WWII? Korea? Vietnam? Bosnia? Desert Storm? Perhaps you could be a little more specific so that I could tell you to do your school homework out of the textbook. On the other hand, if it's about "Iraqi Freedom", I suggest that there are several reasons.

Sadam had already demonstrated his aggression when he attacked Kuwait. He let the world know that he was willing to kill millions of people when he went after so many of his own and sent missiles into Israel.

He used nerve agents on his own people and before Iraqi Freedom and threatened to use them on anyone who entered his nation. He announced to the world that he HAD WMD's and was willing to use them. He was a destabilizing force in the Middle East and people from all over the world demanded that Sadam be reigned in until Iraq was attacked and Sadam was removed from power.

At that point political hacks decided that they wanted to be in power now and did everything that they could to make President Bush look like he had started an unnecessary war. Some claim that President Bush lied to get congress to approve the attack on Iraq, yet every other nation in the world believed Sadam when he claimed to have WMD's and knew that he would be willing to use them if given a chance.

For years, politicians had been saying that Sadam needed to be removed from power because he was such an evil dictator. When President Bush finally expressed a willingness to do just that, France, Germany and Russia resisted, because THEY had contracts with Sadam that were in violation to the UN sanctions against Iraq.

When Sadam lost his attempt to take over Kuwait, the United Nations decided that he could be controlled by placing "sanctions" against him. He was supposedly not allowed to sell oil to make money, the logic being that his people would still be fed and receive medication if the UN placed sanctions that only allowed oil to be traded for food and medicine.

He was also supposed to allow UN inspectors to verify that all illegal weapons were destroyed. Sadam started playing games with the inspectors, not allowing entry into certain parts of the country, hiding records and moving his top scientists out of town whenever the inspectors were due.

It was clear that Sadam did not want to comply with the UN sanctions. The UN sanctions were not working. France, Germany and Russia were sending money and weapons to Sadam in exchange for oil, in direct violation of the UN sanctions. Even the UN Secretary was making a fortune by looking the other way as nations violated the sanctions.

Just prior to attacking Iraq, the UN voted on a UN backed attack of Sadam. There are only 5 nations that have "Veto" power. Of those, England and the US wanted to take care of Sadam and France, Russia and China wanted to continue with the inspections. Germany, while not having veto power, also wanted to continue to do business with Sadam.

Many of Bush's antagonists have claimed that the war is about oil, and in a sense that is true. It is about oil because if France, Russia, China and Germany had not been ignoring the sanctions we would probably have seen an entirely different series of events and Sadam would not have been able to continue with his weapons program.

Because Hitler said it could happen

and because of money and greed!!!! x

cuz of their dignity, greed or hatred... but the person starting the war obviously doesn't care about all the innocent people getting caught between the fight!!

but without wars humans wouldn't have learned their mistake

Answer 2

The fundamental reason that war happens is that two or more groups cannot agree on a determined course of action and are either unable or unwilling to negotiate a compromise. Each party believes he can compel the other party to give him what he truly wants after the pain of war. As history has proved, this theory, unfortunately, works out.
