Why does your 17-month-old throw up after many meals and the food or drink doesn't matter as he will throw up during the meal or shortly thereafter and the doctor just says he will grow out of it?

At 17 months, he should have already grown out of it. You should get a second opinion. The acid from his stomach and the frequency of the vomiting could cause burning in the throat and some damage to the sensitive tissues. You should definitely research this, go to WebMD.com to start.
