If your driver side wheel bearing is bad would the noise go away when you turn right?

It probably won't go completely away but it will change the sound it makes. Some will tell you that if you turn right and the noise fades it is the left side and when you turn left and the noise fades it is the right side. But, the only way to really be sure is to jack the car and check it out. Caution: don't try running the engine to turn the tires. If your car has traction control it will shake like crazy with both wheels off the ground and could fall off the jacks.
