Wiping hind feet is very common in all dogs and sometimes it's because they are frisky and playful and other times they just want to cut-up a little grass! LOL My part Bishon Frise and Cockapoo X does the same thing. Actually, it's a territorial thing...they are scratching their feet on the ground to spread their scent and let other dogs know that that area is theirs.

Spreading the scent. As in a sort of victory dance. If wipe or scratching persists, this could also mean Allergies.

They wipe their feet basically when they're scratching themselves as when they're itchy or so and that's the only way out. Another way is not natural which is when we wipe it for them.
