Why do dogs smell each others poop?

Well you have to remember its not like they brush there teeth every night before they go to bed. Dogs eat there food, possibly there own feces, dirt, grass, chew toys, and they clean there body's with there tongues. There is in fact some bones made specifically to help with bad dog breath at local pet stores. They can even clean your dogs mouth at the vet office. Some dogs have worse breath than others.

to see if its food r not. they dont know that they did the poop. and if a male an d a female are together, they pee and poop on eachothers pee and poop. they smell there butts and stuff too. they can be weird. they even smelt my butt before.

I think that if you have one dog and it smells it poo then it is trying to recognize when it had done it and if they would need to do it again. If it had a strong smell and steam was arising then it would seem new to the animal and if has no smell then it would be old. If you have 2 or more dogs and they smell them and thhe pet knows there is another animal in the household then it would be trying to see whether it was produced from itself. It is is then it might stick up its paw and stay there quite a while, and if it smells it and runs away then it's not his.

Well, vomit doesn't have a good smell i general, but if it smells that bad, you should take it to the vet asap!Maybe you fed your dog something that didn't let his/her stomach settle.
