Why would a husband blatantly check out other women and comment on their bodies in front of his wife even though it upsets her?

Look, male sexuality is visual. Looking at someone attractive is simply in male nature. You need to accept that first of all if you're going to be married to a man at all. You shouldn't be threatened by it because the man is married to you and not to the eye candy he may sometimes enjoy. Your insecurity on the issue is probably more destructive than anything. (Plus, admit it: you look at attractive men once in a while, too.)

However, enjoying a look-see now and again is different from "staring." If your husband is leering, gaping, or staring protractedly at other women, it's inconsiderate not only to you but also the women he's looking it. He needs to learn to be more discrete and respectful of all women. Tell him so.

Because he's a jerk and he's pushing your buttons. We all look at the opposite sex if they are attractive, but look and don't touch and we certainly don't bring it to the attention of our mate if we're smart. This is what you do. The next time he does this and says something about how attractive a woman is say, "Yes, she is." Then when you see a nice looking younger guy, do the same thing. While you are at it don't be afraid to go out and buy a nice calendar with male models on it and tack it up on your bedroom wall where you can see it (away from your kids) and you bet you'll get your husband's attention. He just won't be able to help himself, but ask that almighty question, "Why do you have pictures of nude guys on the bedroom wall?" This is what you say, "Well, something has to get me excited before we make love!" Be sure you have a video camera to get the look on his face! LOL I am serious about the above. He's rude, crude, and you need to teach him a good lesson that women also find the opposite sex just as attractive and he's not the one you particularly like to look at 24/7.
