That would depend on the line. If it's a line of pixels that have gone out you need to have your TV serviced. If it is a line that scrolls slowly up the screen then it could be a "Ground Loop" which is caused by a grounding issue either in your home or with your cable feed coming into the house. Many grounding issues in the home resulting in the line can be fixed by you. If you don't have all of the components hooked to the TV plugged into a line conditioner (Surge protector) that could be the issue. Visit your local Circuit City and ask the Home Theater guy or gal to show you a Monster Line Conditioner and explain it's benefits. This is the best I can do with the limited info in your question.

CRT monitors use a beam of electrons to form the picture - LCD's use microscopic pixels. CRT's need large amounts of electricity to form the picture - LCD's work with low voltages.
Having worked in the TV repair business for awhile, I can honestly say that I've had to service very few Sharp brand TV products as compared to the other brands. But to answer your question, the `Aquous' line, is a model series of televisions, but I feel confident that Sharp puts in the same quality for all their products.
