Samsung LCD TV, no picture but sound is there.
I have more than 100 Samsung LCD TVs, series LA32 and LA40, under my care. So far in the past three years i have this problem only because of LCD Back light inverter.
please check LCD's back light inverter circuit for proper function. it will not cost much for the repair of the circuit if you do it by yourself.

This sounds crazy but just hit it again. I was working a large 1080p LCD at a trade show and for 2 days all was OK with the second screen. My clients laptop apparently got a little overloaded and the video card was glitchy causing the LCD to go blank. I could go from the laptop to the LCD at will with just hitting ALT F5. Good Luck.
