When you eat fatty food and don't do exersize in the next 2 hours your body stores up the food and leaves it in your stomach. Causing it to stick out. If your stomach sticks out you are most likely to have put on weight. For example: The other day I put on my bikini and I looked fine and then a couple of days later I put it on again and my stomach was sticking out. So I weighed myself and found out that I had put on 2 kilograms.
At 5'6" you should weigh roughly what you currently do, however, your body mass index is a bit on the low side of healthy as yours works out to be 20.8 and 19 is considered the lowest to remain healthy. Adding a few pounds (10 or so) would bring your BMI a couple of points and you would see these areas (chest and hips) filling out more naturally. However this also depends on your age. I would suggest you slowly start taking in more calories per day and see how you feel.
On the other side of things, some people are just built a bit differently. My advice would be to put on about ten pounds and see how it makes you feel. If you still have pain then consult your physician (wow I sounded like a pill bottle there).
There are many possibilities . Number one would be a hernia.Possibly constipation.Could be liver or gallbladder disease. If you think it may be constipation , drink lots{8 glasses per day] of water . Eat some fruit and fiber cereal or high fiber whole grain bread. If that doesn't help, go to the doctor It COULD POSSIBLY be something more serious.
The midsection or lower section of your stomach is the place where most of your fat gathers as opposed to other parts of your body. Also with normal life activities you are always moving your arms and legs so you are always moving those body parts, to lower your stomach fat you have to do exercises that specifically target the stomach. : )
The best way to loose weight should be eating right. I was one of those woman who earned to eat. Ordered food every alternate day and in no time I changed from skinny to chubby to fat, my cholesterol was way beyond borderline.

I needed urgent remedy and that's where Ketogenic diet came to my rescue. I followed it for a month with due diligence to loose my water weight along with fat.
I cook everything either in ghee or Olive oil, we can use coconut oil too. The basic idea is to limit my carbs to 15gms ie 5% of my total calories and rest 65% to fats and 30% to protein.
I also followed 12:8 intermittent fasting by third week as I had lost my appetite. It helped me again to loose the last 3 kgs.
For fat- use ghee/ cheese of your choice not low fat but/ coconut oil or Olive oil, avocados, cottage cheese, butter in moderations.
Protien- eggs, fishes, chicken, lamb or pork anything that suites you.
Carbs- green leafy veggies, mushrooms, cabbage, capsicum and in fruits strawberries. For dry fruits use almonds and macademia nuts. Drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated.
