Why doesn't the automatic trasmission in a 1993 jeep cherokee quit shifting after it gets warm?

[Edit]

What's a trasmission??

Transmission's have more then one gear, most these days have 1-2-3-D with Over Drive.

So it will not "quit shifting" just because it gets warm.

Hope This Helps.
