This sounds like a medical emergency to me - your dog is losing water volume through the vomiting and is not replacing it through eating wet food or drinking water. Your dog could be severely dehydrated within 24 hours, which in and of itself is potentially lethal.
Causes for this would include infection of the gastrointestinal tract and cancer (younger would trend towards GI infection, older towards cancer). If you have a dog that is known to be a "random object eater", or you haven't had the dog long enough to know what he/she may eat, your dog may have a foreign body lodged in his/her stomach or intestines that would require surgery to remove.
Regardless, you need to get your dog to a veterinarian today.
You should make an appointment with your veterinarian for an examination. Inappetence plus vomiting generally indicates illness in the dog, and this may need to be treated by a veterinarian.
You need to take your dog to see a qualified animal doctor (a veterinarian).

∙ 11y agoIt is because when your dog is not feeling well or is sick it has a lot of bile in its stomach and throws that up and doesn't really have an appetite, but if your dog is doing so then you should see your vet

uh anytime you want. when you vomit, unless you drink salt water before, you lose all of your water. you can drink it anytime after vomiting, why couldn't you? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually, if you vomit, you SHOULD drink water, and a good bit of it. Obviously don't drink so much that you end up vomiting again, but diarrhea and vomiting are the 2 situations where dehydration becomes lethal. I'd suggest to keep sipping water (no big gulps, it'll upset both your esophagus and stomach) until you feel comfortable in your stomach region. Any chronic vomiting or uncontrollable/constant vomiting should be analyzed by a doctor, and not searched on the internet. >_<
