To be kind to the animals! Also for health and environmental reasons.. Vegetarians do not eat meat because they believe that eating meat is not the thing we should be doing. They believe we are eating animals, and they believe God made animals not to eat them, (e.g fish, cow etc.) but to care for them. This is not a peculiar thing, because some Aussies are vegetarians because they care too much for animals, so you shouldn't talk much about vegetarians.
It is just their way of life. They choose not to want to eat the flesh of other animals. For some, it is due to a love of animals and a want to save them, not to hurt and consume them. Others just don't like the tatse of meat, so they give it up. But each person can have their own reasons.
I've been a vegetarian for many years, and my main motive was the following: I started to think about the meaning behind the name of the meat I was eating, e.g., "rump steak" was the animal's behind; "liver" was the animal's liver; and "tongue" was, well, the animal's tongue. That did it for me. I cut out meat, er, cold turkey, and have happily been following a vegetarian diet ever since then.

Well vegatarians don't eat meat because they believe we shouldn't harm animals! Now that isn't always true because sometimes people are allergic to meat. Also, because they look at meat and think its gross. Soe also do it for their boyfriend/girlfriend or spouse.now that is my opinion but that is not always the case
By definition a vegetarian is someone that doesn't eat meat.
It may be a personal choice for any number of reasons:
- They do it for health reasons
- They are morally against harming animals.
It may be religious based in being forbidden to cause pain to any living creature.

∙ 12y agoPeople become vegetarians for different reasons. Some people choose to become vegetarian because of religious reasons, and others do it because of the toxins in meat. I am a vegetarian, and I do it for both religious and health reasons. Fruits, grains, and nuts was the diet that God first ordained for the human race. God did allow meat eating after the flood because there was nothing else to eat. However, fruits grains, nuts, and vegetables is the most healthy diet, and that is why I choose to become a vegetarian.
