Think, assess, it might be lifestyle
If you have depression difficulties - that often leads to lack of sexual appetite. Sometimes it is the person you're with - that's where "turn off" is a real term. If the person does not have a connection with you, even physically then oftentimes it doesn't feel right. Another issue could be eating habits - too much junk food or unhealthy diets will lead to lack of desire - overeating, under eating, etc. If you are elderly it may be due to hormones - then you should talk to your doctor.
Answer
Here are more reasons you don't have a sexual appetite:
- Age
- Disease including arthritis, heart disease, some forms of cancer with chemo/radiation treatment or both; diabetes. Any debilitating disease or painful disease will throw off the bodies Ph levels and thus the libido.
- Drugs. Street drugs, Marijuana (smoking excessively) smoking too many cigarettes and other street drugs.
- Alcoholism
- Poor diet
- Some medications used for heart conditions, depression or other maladies can lower the libido
- Pre menopause, menopause in women and Andropause in men. This is when people from the age of 40 plus go through a wham bang effect of hormones either surging or not enough of one hormone. Without treatment of hormones this can lead to low libido.
- As the former poster said your partner simply turns you off.
