if he/she has stopped talking and you have tried to get him/her to talk i suggest you take him to the vet or he/she is scared of something new in the house or if she/he screamed or talked alot he/she probabley lost his/her voice
If you're talking about an action in which the Quaker Parrot puts it's foot on it's head and holds it there, I can relate with my bird. My Quaker Parrot 'holds' his head with his foot while he's relaxed and preening. I think this behavior is simply him enjoying scratching himself with his claws. He clenches his toes in and out in a scratching manner while looking very pleased. He'll sometimes let me scratch him with my fingernail, too.
Because its not a quaker - its a Norwegian blue.
No. They are no where near extinction! They are not even endangered! I have a Quaker Parrot, they're are thousands if not millions.
Not naturally.they do fight sometimes.
Yes!! If a quaker parrot is taught well and has attention everyday it can learn lots of words/phrases. It is quite common to own a hand reared talking quaker. Their are many people who own a pet quaker that can say around 64 phrases which made around 104 differnet words. The quaker is a very kind parrot that will be nice to humans if raised well. But a quaker can also be territorial if it sees something like a dog, cat a mouse or possibly a fish it can sometimes attack it and trust me it will TAKE IT ON!!! IN MY OPINION THE QUAKER IS A VERY GOOD TALKER AROUND THE 4TH/5TH BEST TALKER but its voice may not be as clear as a cockatoos or a greys. Hope this helped you!!!!!!
It depends on which sepecies of parrot u have I have a Quaker named pickles
Many types of parrot are able to mimic speech, such as the Quaker and African grey parrot. Parakeets are also able to mimic speech.
It could be a type of parrot. It could be a person who worships in the manner suggested by George Fox.
