oh wow I am Russian myself so that is close.... Joseph Stalin was a horrible tyrant and ruler of Russia who overthrew Trotsky when he was battling with him for power. There were a lot of deaths of just peaceful citizens and the aristocrats definetly didn't like it. The workers got much more power to be equal, but.... They were scared of each other and Stalin, they believed everything he did was right and they thought of him as god. Stalin wanted to make a utopia without "the enemies of the people", but that didn't work out. Have you read Animal FArm? if so, think of Napoleon the pig. GOOD LUCK :)

Stalin had virtually no significance in the Russian Revolution. Stalin totally missed the February Revolution (but then so did Lenin) since he was in exile in Siberia at the time. He returned to Petrograd immediately after Tsar Nicholas II abdicated.

As to the October Revolution when Lenin and the Bolsheviks took over,

Stalin had no particular visible role there either. While other Bolsheviks had been given certain assignments, Stalin editing the Bolshevik newspaper "Robachii put" (The Workers Way). He altered Russian history to make it seem like he was involved, but he was not.

Joseph Stalin was a Communist Party leader after the Russian Revolution, and the Premier of the Soviet Union during World War II. In the 1930s, he supported the development of secret police and intelligence agencies, as well as the "Great Purge" to remove "anti-Soviet" elements from power. His politics were founded in collectivism, nationalism, and Atheism, and are ultimately referred to simply as Stalinism.

He was the worst dictator the world has ever seen in modern history. 10-15 million people died because of his policy of collectivisation. 20 million Russian soldiers died in WW2 because they were so inefficient under stalins Dictatorship. His party purges and show trials of the 1930's eliminated any opposition from other members of the Communist party, during these Zinoviev, Kamenenev and Bukharin were executed. His treatment of the Jews was also especially significant, the doctor's plot of 1952-53 accused nine doctors, six of them jews, of attempting to poison party officials.
