ATP (Adenosine Tri-Phosphate) is a molecule that can store energy. The bond between the terminal phosphate and the second phosphate is a high-energy bond. When it is broken (ATP is turned into ADP) this energy is released and can be harnessed by the cell. During the breakdown of sugars in the body, the energy from the sugars are stored in ATP molecules which can be used later. Or you can just put that it is energy that can be made at one place in that body and transported throughout, little shorter

Because it is responsible for the transfer of energy from one set of biochemical reactions to another. Gtp and Utp are sometimes also used.

Atp delivers energy wherever energy is needed in the Cell.

The cell can use the energy in ATP very easily (unlike glucose, which has to go through a complex breaking-down process to release the energy). It is called the energy currency (money) because it is so easy to pay for things using money (before money was invented people had to do swaps to get all the things they needed!)

Living organisms use organic food as an energy source, these organic molecules especially carbohydrates are degraded to released energy,carbon-dioxide and water. Some of this energy is used to produce ATP.It shows that ATP is the common energy currency of cell. When cells require energy, they spend ATP for that. ATP is composed of adenine with three phosphate groups. ATP is also called a 'high energy' compound because its phosphate groups are easily removed. Under cellular condition it produces 7.3 K.Cal/ mole on conversion into ADP. The process during which ATP is formed known as Phosphorylation.

What is called the energy currency of the cell?

ATP is described as the universal energy currency. It is hydrolysed to form ADP+Pi which releases 30.6 kJ energy per mol. So energy is immediately available to cells in manageable amounts. ATP is continuously being hydrolysed and resynthesised. Some synthesis reactions in cells require energy, and this is released by hydrolysis of ATP for these biochemical processes
