Most people get too much salt in their diet - too much is bad for you.
* Too much sodium in the diet is bad for your health. Also, sometimes salting is used to cover up the fact that the butter is less than fresh. With unsalted butter, it is easier to tell how wholesome it is.
Yes. And no. If you have a large amount of salt in your body, then unsalted butter would probably be beneficial. But if you have a normal amount, as long as you don't eat too much, then I guess salted would be fine. It tastes better as well.

Butter and salt. The salt free type only contains butter.
Not really if you are not on a salt restricted diet: the amount of salt in butter isn't too high unless you are eating a lot of it. The reason for unsalted butter is that some recipes that use a lot of butter might taste a little too salty if you use the salted kind (shortbread, for example). Also, if the butter is not salted you can better control how much salt goes in the final recipe. HOwever, unsalted butter does not last nearly as long because salt is a preservative, so you should use it quickly and freeze it if you are keeping it more than a few days.
There is not enough salt in butter to make a difference. Cook away!
You can add a little bit of salt. Store bought butter has salt added. Though homemade is better tasting just the way it is.

Salt free water softeners are better for the environment than traditional water softeners. Also, consider that a reduction in the salt brought into your drinking water is better for your body as well.
Yes but add just a bit of salt with it~!
Butter is VERY easy to make. Put some cream in a jar, put the lid on tight, and shake it for several minutes. You'll notice a solid blob floating in the liquid eventually--that's butter. To use on bread, add a little salt.
