What is the solute in 60.0 mL of ethyl alcohol and 30.0 mL of methyl alcohol?

In this case the solute is methyl alcohol and solvent is ethyl alcohol. When two liquids mix, they are not usually referred to as "soluble", but rather are referred to as "miscible".

How methyl alcohol and ethyl alcohol?

First we have to know the difference between methyl and ethyl and alcohol groups: A methyl group chemical formula is CH3- , of an ethyl group it is C2H5- , and alcohol group means the group contains -OH So methyl alcohol is methanol, CH3OH, and ethyl alcohol is ethanol, CH3CH2OH.

Which solvent has the greatest lipid solubility Why do you think this?

The best lipid solvents are Hexane, Ethyl Alcohol and Methyl Alcohol. This is because lipids are nonpolar and hydrophobic. Hexane has the highest hydrophobicity of any solvent and is thus the best at dissolving hydrophobic molecules.

What are types of solvents for plant extraction?

Plants material contains Organic compounds along with salts and water, some organic compounds are polar and soluble in ethyl alcohol or ethyl acetate but some are non polar and soluble in ether or hexane, so two types of solvents may be used for plants extraction, the best way is to use non polar solvent first and extract the non polar compounds then use the polar solvent and extract the polar compounds.
