because we need chemistry in our daily lives.Chemistry is everywhere in the world around us-in what we eat, in what we breath, in how we live, in what we are.Chemists study not only what things are, but also what they do and how they do it, from a sub-atomic particles to large arrays of molecules. Chemistry is also verycreative: new substances are made everyday in a constant search for new materials, new drugs, new ways of doing things better and new understandings of how Nature works. Chemistry is central to all sciences andis used to study biological, physical, medical, and environmental phenomena as well. A university degree in Chemistry can lead to many careers: as a research chemist, as a chemical technician in industrial quality control in environmental assessmentin teaching, in patent law, in business, in density and in medicine, to name only a few.

physics is the science of everything.

chemistry and Biology are sub catagorys of physics.

even cooking is the physics of making things taste nice (even if you don't do the maths)

everything in the entire universe is a subcatagory of physics, even those that don't seem to be like philosophy or the English language have a deep connection to physics if you think about it hard enough;

how we think is a result of the physics of our biology which in turn creates our words, which are created by mechanical processes of the lung, jaw and vocal chords.

Because everything that you touch, see, smell and feel is made up from atoms. Chemistry is the study of how these atoms interact to make new substances, how these substances interact, and how the properties of these substances depend upon their structure.

So in a sense, Chemistry explains something about everything!

Chemistry is often called the central science because of its role in connecting the physical sciences, which include chemistry, with the life sciences and applied sciences such as medicine and engineering. The nature of this relationship is one of the main topics in the philosophy of chemistry and in scientometrics. The phrase was popularized by its use in a textbook by Theodore L. Brown and H. Eugene LeMay, titled Chemistry: The Central Science, which was first published in 1977, with a twelfth edition published in 2011.

The central role of chemistry can be seen in the systematic and hierarchical classification of the sciences by Auguste Comte in which each discipline provides a more general framework for the area it precedes (mathematics → astronomy → physics → chemistry → physiology and medicine → Social Sciences). Balaban and Klein have more recently proposed a diagram showing partial ordering of sciences in which chemistry may be argued is "the central science" since it provides a significant degree of branching. In forming these connections the lower field cannot be fully reduced to the higher ones. It is recognized that the lower fields possess emergent ideas and concepts that do not exist in the higher fields of science.

Metaphorically speaking, the mother of science is mathematics. Mathematics is also called the language of science, which is a more accurate description.

Why physics called the basic science?

it isn't physics is the most complex and beautiful science and is the basis of nearly all other subjects. Never a basic science but a 'Fundamental Science' alongside chemistry and biology. Fundamental in this case meaning the basis of all things; the building blocks.

Why is that physics is describe as the basic science?

Because Physics is all about why things happen and I guess is all about rules of science, like the phrase 'the rules of physics' e.g all these formulas like e=mc squared and all that wot-not- it is all physics.

Why do you need to learn physics?

Physics is the fundamental science, on which all others are based, and through which, all may be interpreted.

Why is physics considered the basic science?

Physics is the study of matter and energy and is a branch of science directly derived from mathematics. It is considered the basic science because all the other sciences either derive from physics or use the concepts of physics.
