Answer (Muslim view) Per Islam teachings:
  • Both Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and not only Eve.
  • Both Adam and Eve admitted their sin, repented, asked God for forgiveness. God accepted their repentance and forgave them (Quran Ch2 V.34-38)
  • No one of Adam and Eve's descendants will be punished by Adam and Eve's sin. Everyone will be judged only on their own beliefs, deeds, and conduct.
  • You are responsible for yourself in front of God the Creator on the Last Day of Judgment. No one, except God the Creator, can forgive you and accept you in His paradise per His mercy.
Answer (Christian view)
  • Think about it. The Bible does say, "...you and your offspring will be punished..." several different time throughout, besides, Eve wasn't the only one that sinned. Adam ate the fruit, too. And, think back a little ways. When was the last time you sinned?
  • Knowledge is not punishment. Maybe Eve didn't exist.
  • The story goes in the Bible that Eve was told not to eat the apple off the apple tree. She did as she was told not to by God, and she was punished. I don't believe that we are all punished because of Eve's indiscretion.
  • All religions are accepted and not one is right or wrong, for most of us believe in a Supreme Being.
  • God did not create the mess in the world such as starving children, diseases, etc., but man himself shall destroy each other and it's happening to this day. If Governments weren't corrupt or there were not some rich and greedy people living off the blood of others then all would be well with the world. We all have free choice and hopefully most of us (no matter what religion we are) will make better changes in this world by being kind, helping others and being a believer in whatever faith you prefer to make this a better world for all. Greed has gone back to the days of man's creation and I'm afraid it's here to stay.
Answer (Christian view)
  • we are not being punished at all. Christ came to offer freedom from the punishment that our own sins deserve, and therefore if we have accepted Him and let Him come into and change our lives, we will be freed from the ultimate punishment that awaits those who haven't.
  • Jesus (Yeshua) made a way for our sins to be forgiven and for us to be reconciled to God the Father. He became the atonement for our sins. He was without sin or selfishness because He was God in a human suit. Yeshua (Jesus) is the way God has provided for our sins and selfish nature to be forgiven and transformed.
  • In answer to "how can a loving God create Hell, Satan, polio, malaria? God didn't create Satan. Satan began as Lucifer, an angel, who wanted to BE God! Lucifer was then cast down to earth, becoming the Prince of the air, or the Prince of the world (temporarily). When Adam & Eve ate the apple, they brought sin and death into the world. They had been created by God to live forever! However, as a result of their disobedience, sin, death, illness, etc. were released into the world. It is Satan's work--don't blame God! He had only good in store for Adam & Eve. Yes, many people die of starvation, etc., ever since the world began. Keep in mind that Jesus is coming back, (soon), and when He does, he will throw Satan into the Lake of Fire, banishing death for all time! Finally, please open your Bible to John 3:16; "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Answer (Christian view)
  • Where in the Bible does it say that God is all-forgiving? Adam and Eve were not forgiven.
  • According to the Biblical view of all of this, God is simply not all-forgiving. So also, even though Eve certainly ate first, Adam is actually given more blame because Eve was deceived but Adam made a willful and knowing choice to join in her sin. All this took place only about 6000 or so years ago, and even though mankind has inherited the propensity to follow the first humans we all also make many choices which indicate that if we had been in their position we would have done likewise.
  • God does not forgive you unless you ask to be forgiven and you can only do this with the price for the sin, called the blood of Christ that was shed for all sin.For Eve is not the only one who sinned. All mankind sins against God and deserves punishment. It was God's love and mercy that gave us a way out.
Answer (Christian view)God is always forgiving! He loves us so much that He created us and sent Jesus to die for our sins. God told Adam and Eve NOT to eat of the tree, but the evil one talked Eve into doing it. She and Adam disobeyed God and so they were punished. It is hard to imagine not doing what the Creator of the universe tells you to do. I suggest you read Genesis and you will see how forgiving God truly is.
