Anti bacterial liquid soap lathered and diluted with water daily while showering is all you need. There is no real reason for salt soaks, or the over priced and more often than not useless aftercare products most piercing studios try to force people to buy.

The piercing is a puncture wound, iodine and other first aid products are not designed nor intended to be used on these forms of injuries.

Over use or improper use of so called "cleaning agents" can lead to the formation of a lump, bubble or pimple next to the piercing, this is often misnamed as a "keloid", when in fact it's actually a Hypertrophic reaction.

Stick to shuffling the jewellery daily under running water in the shower and your piercing will heal nicely without all the fuss and hassle of using concoctions that actually slow the healing.
