It may be slippery.
It is difficult to walk on an icy road, because your feet keep slipping on the ice.
the ground is slippery and there is no friction
It is difficult to walk on a slippery road because the friction between your shoes and the road is compromised. When you stand, its not so much an issue, as most or all of the force vector from your body is pointing down. When you walk, however, there is a horizontal component of the force vector, which is what is accelerating you in a horizontal direction. Since the road is slippery, the coefficient of friction between your shoes and the road is less, causing the tendency to slip or fall.
the ground is soggy
Well you do make sense..............well this because when you are to walk on a smooth road ,you fall. That's because the friction is less beetween your foot and road and thus there is no grip.
Burnish it with a red pad at low speed and it will not be slippery anymore
Snow is slippery.
There may not be enough friction between your feet and the floor. You need friction to be able to exert a force against the floor, to balance yourself and move in the direction you desire.
Find a Slippery surface, wear socks and walk backwards,
Slate is highly durable, so damage from a doberman should not be an issue, however, slate can also be slippery and make it more difficult for any dog to walk on.
Because you don't learn to walk on your hands as a child. AND Hands aren't designed for walking on. For example the way a hand is connected to the wrist/forearm is quite different to the way a foot is connected to the ankle/lower leg.
