Riding a bicycle for utility purposes is safe, the overwhelming majority of people will be able to ride for years and years before having an accident that leads to a head injury - so I wouldn't say that it's "extremely important".
But considering what they cost, and how easy they are to wear, a bike helmet offers great value in terms of protection against head injuries - if an accident would strike.
Head injuries from even minor mishaps can be severe or even fatal. A helmet provides inexpensive protection in common falls or collisions.
because if you fall you could get a serious head injury and possibly die. even if you are idle you can still be hurt if not wearing a helmet.
Let's think about this. I realize that you don't use a helmet and that explains a bit, but it protects your head.
Because for the money they cost and how easy they are to wear it's a really cheap protection against head/face injuries if you fall.
Because it can protect your head if you fall.
It is sensible advice for anyone riding a bicycle the wear a helmet. If you fall off or get knocked off your bike it might just save your life, or at the very least prevent a nasty bump on the head.
It as implemented in 1999 that any person under the age of 16 must where a helmet hile bicycling in the state of Maine.
A bicycle helmet is a piece of protective headgear intended to be worn while riding a bicycle.
It's better than nothing, but not ideal. If by scooter you mean something motorized, like a vespa, then that helmet is likely to be fairly heavy and warm for bicycle use. But can you put up with it, it'll offer better protection than a bicycle helmet. If by scooter you mean one of those kickboard thingys, then that helmet is likely to be rated for a lower level of impact than a bike helmet, so it'll offer a little less protection.
A moped helmet is sturdier, heavier and less ventilated. It is expected to provide decent protection at accidents at higher speeds than a bicycle helmet. A bicycle helmet is lighter, better ventilated and only has to provide decent protection at lower speeds than a moped helmet.
First, I assume the question is really..."Do you salute the American flag while you are wearing a bicycle helmet?" If the helmet is part of a uniform, you salute. If it's not, you take the helmet off and hold it over your heart. Second, if the question is..."Do you salute a bicycle helmet with an American flag on it?" then the answer is no.
