Why is it hard to trust your husband even after you forgiven his infidelity?

It is human nature not to trust any one that has once betrayed you. This is completely understandable. There is a reason not to believe a person if they say they will change however once you are able to forgive them it will be much easier to take them back.
Forgiveness is supposedly the gateway to happiness. So if you forgive him you will be less angry that your spouse cheated. It is right to give people second chances and if love is pure as it is supposed to be he will not cheat again.

∙ 12y ago- It is mature and a great thing you have forgiven your husband for his infidelity, but he broke that bond of trust he vowed to you in your marriage vows and it will take some time for him to gain that trust back from you and it's normal for you to feel that way. Keep those good communication skills going between the two of you and do so without blame or arguing so each of you can discuss your feelings and if there are any problems between you then you both should discuss them and come to some amicable agreement.
