because they have different diet than people as they can eat once every few days or months. You may be feeding them too much. Try once a day, only as much as they can eat in two to three minutes. Also, do water changes to get rid of excess bacteria from too much food. 10-15% weekly.
he could be sick but most likely stressed 4 example maybe the water isn't as clean as b4 or he might have outgrown the tank hes in and needs more space depends on what fish it is different fish need certain amount of space
It could also just be tired, My fish Felisha has those days, give it a day or two and Im sure your fish will be back to normal
He's bored..... get a big spoon and stir the water around and he will move... some.... for a while.... maybe. Or you could send him on an all expence paid sea side vacation.... flush him. he could be sick, if he starts to float to the top I am sorry that will be a sign that he or she is dying.
" strange " is pretty hard to diagnose.
But it is good that you are noticing it, write down how your fish looks and how he is acting and take it to your pet store or tropical fish store and let them read what he is doing.
They might be able to fix him right up.
there is two different reasons that your fish is not moving
1. it is dead
2. it is asleep
Its either to full, fat. Or dead

I am an owner of cold water fish. 5 of them in fact. I know people don't always associate a common gold fish as a strange fish. You may have heard of a fish called a black moor. If you haven't below is a picture of a black moor which I found on google. These fish are very strange as they have large eyes that droop if you lift the fish out of the water for a short period of time.
Fish are not ugly they are just a bit strange looking.
This may be a sign of sickness. If your beardie is acting strange and you don't understand why, you need to get it to the vet immediately.
