They are both organic but Naphthalene is nonpolar. Methanol is partially polar so the it attracts slightly with naphthalene. That's why it takes like almost a minute to occur

Napthalene is soluble in hexane because "like dissolves like" and both napthalene and hexane are non-polar molecules.
