Oceanography is important because the ocean is an important part of the eco-system. It is important to learn about the animals in the ocean. It is also important to track changes in the ocean since these changes can impact the entire Earth.
It is a life science. It involves geology, Biology, physics and chemistry. It would useful if you live close to the beach. Otherwise, it would stil be useful. Plus that and it's an alternative for chemistry.
Oceanography helps to understand the ocean environment. It helps us to understand how our actions affect the ecosystems and the ocean resources.
Have you taken a look at the ocean lately? As the ocean is composed of water, it is naturally important to understand when studying oceanography.
because they help us better understand our oceans
Hydrology is like oceanography in that both involve the study of currents and their effect overall on the bodies of ocean water. Hydrology is different because unlike oceanography, it deals solely with the movement of the water.
Hydrology is the study of the Earth's water. Hydrology includes geohydrology, limnology, oceanography, chemical oceanography, physical oceanography, biological oceanography, geological oceanography and paleoceanography, amongst other Earth Sciences.
Hydrology or Oceanography (?)
We study the water cycle because water is essential to life. No water? No life on Earth. Hydrology is the branch of science which studies water and the water cycle. The cycle consists of precipitation, evaporation, and condensation. It's important to study and understand it because these processes impact the earth's lands, oceans, and atmosphere. The water cycle also helps us understand and enables meteorologists to forecast daily and seasonal weather patterns. In addition, studying and understanding the cycle also gives a better appreciation for freshwater conservation. While there is plenty of water in the world, it's not always where it's needed at the moment. Some cities get their water from rivers, lakes and reservoirs. Hydrologists - scientists who study water and the water cycle - will help those cities determine whether to make more water available or to conserve it.
Oceanology is the study of marine life. It explains what will happen to the world thanks to water, both the advantages and disadvantages. So it is basically everything that has to do with water on Earth.

They study the oceans and check if the water is poluted :) :x
According to my understanding of oceanography, a dolphins butt is indeed water tight.
astronomy and oceanography: the moon drives the earth's tides, which is important for sea creatures astronomy and meteorology : the sun evaporates water which causes weather oceanography and geology : the water in the ocean erodes the land astronomy and geology : rocks from space hit the earth and shapes landscapes Geology and Meteorology : rain replenishes the land
In its purest form, Oceanography is the study of the oceans. This is far too broad a subject for someone to specialize in, so there are subfields within oceanography. Major ones include chemical oceanography, the study of chemical reactions occurring in the water mass; biological oceanography, the study of the creatures that live in the ocean; and physical oceanography, the study of currents, temperature, sedimentation, and the general physical nature of the ocean. There is, of course, overlap, as specific species like living in specific areas because of the temperature, for instance...
the five importance of studying science is 1.its important becoz..we can use it in are daily lives 2.we can measure our examples our one glass of water.. a full bucket of water..if we do not study science we cannot estimate or measure of liquid and etc..

Acknowledgement for water pollution and society is essential for growth. The community needs to understand the severity of this problem before they can fix it.
