Is Spain cool?

The country, Spain, I've heard, is awesome. People say its beautiful there along with many sights to see. From what I've seen and heard, Spain IS cool! I have lived in Spain my whole life, and it is awesome. The food , which is Mediterreanean style, is sooo good, if you ever visit Spain, you have to try the paella and the tortilla española. There are lots of castles and interesting things to see. Everybody is always on the streets either in the cute little book shop down the street, chatting in the café bar outside, or at the open market in the streets of Madrid.

Why is northwestern Spain cool wet and green but inland Spain is hot dry brown?

Northwestern Spain is hit by the Gulf Stream current, bringing moist air up from the Carribean. Inland Spain is sufficiently distant from the North Atlantic Ocean to be unaffected by the Gulf Stream. As a result, it is significantly drier.
