Why is the RF sound output from a Hi-Fi Stereo VCR always in mono?

[Edit]

Answer

Its not. Just in the cheaper models. Its a cost thing. It takes circuitry to get the signal off in stereo and then back into stereo again. That takes money and most sells are in the cheaper models. So its cheaper to pull off just the left channel information and use it. Jonathon
