Why is the bond between mother and daughter so strong?

The bond between mother and daughter could be very strong for many reasons. Firstly, they could experience many of the same things and could feel the same feelings. For example, both mother and daughter could have boy troubles or have love problems. They also go through similar things health wise, such as pregnancy and periods. This all could lead to them understanding each other more, and the daughter will often ask their mother for advice over their father- it's just instinct. I hope this helped.

My mother was always jealous of me and my brother, but more of me. She would always complain that more money went to us and that she'd rather have us wear rags and her wear designer brands. She would also always talk to my dad about trying to leave us and never coming back. I guess its because she had an unhappy childhood and she didn't have normal experiences and normal parents, but it still doesn't give her an excuse to take it out on us. It's been 4 years and I haven't heard a thing from her. Hope this helps but that's just my 2 cents.

It usually depends on the mother. There might be mothers that are jealous and some that are not. Some reasons your mom or someone else's mom would be jealous could be, your dad might be favoring you and not her. Or simply you might be better at something then she is.
